A Cool Pop-Out Trailer For Guilt-Free Vacationing

I am an unabashed fan of the tiny house movement, which does away with all the excesses of McMansions and boils living down to the bare necessities. While the Romotow isn’t quite a tiny house on wheels, the inspired look and lightweight design appeals to both my wanderlust, and desire to have as little impact on the planet as possible.

Inspired by, of all things a USB flash drive, the Romotow is still in the concept phase…but it is a concept I very much love. Designed to make the most use out of the least space, the Romotow folds out in a manner that basically provides twice the usable living space.

With a kitchenette, bathroom, and sleeping quarters, there are a lot of eco-friendly ideas packed into this tiny trailer. For example, louvered windows on either side provide access to a refreshing cross breeze, eliminating the need for air conditioning. Roof-mounted solar panels provide electricity, and a lightweight design means you don’t need a big truck to tow it.

One day I myself hope to travel the country, living out of a tiny trailer. Maybe by the time I get around to it, the Romotow will be more than just a good idea.
