The news surrounding green automaker Fisker Automotive has been nothing but negative the past few weeks. But let’s take a step back and admire the Fisker Karma for what it is; a gorgeous, if flawed car with limitless customization potential. Tuning shop Ultimate Auto went to town on a Fisker Karma, and the result only improves on this great-looking ride.
Without its founder or Chinese investors, Fisker was forced to layoff most of its workforce, triggering a Federal lawsuit. There is a good chance that Fisker as we know it won’t be around for much longer. But the legacy of Henrik Fisker’s company is one of the best-looking cars of the 21st century so far.
Ultimate Auto didn’t have to do much to make the Karma really “pop”, starting with the most obvious enhancement, 24-inch Forgiato rims. The Karma was then given a 3M matte racing stripe, Llumar ceramic tint, and matching painted trim. The result is a standout look for an already standout car.
Too bad the Karma wasn’t around long enough for aftermarket companies to really dig in and get their hands dirty. There is so much untapped potential in this great-looking car, though when all is said and done, the Fisker Karma may be better remembered for its failings as a company then its successful styling.
What do you think the legacy of Fisker will be?
