Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but we’ve seen plenty of examples indicating that wealth doesn’t buy good taste. So when I first saw this hideous pink Tesla Model S, I was sure it was some rogue Russian playboy trying to make a name for himself. But no, instead it was an insidious trick played by Google employers on co-founder Sergey Brin.
The modifications are…extensive, to say the least, including a bright pink vinyl wrap, Batman-like rear fins, car eyelashes, hideous wheels, and even the Batman logo emblazoned on the hood. The effort must have taken hours, perhaps even days to pull off, making us wonder if Sergey even pays attention to his automobiles. Still, all told, this is a pretty epic April Fools prank…and Sergey was even good enough to go for a ride in his bold new ride.
We’re just thankful this is a joke, and not some new sort of Internet automotive fad. That said, it shouldn’t be long before we start seeing some Tesla Model S sedans with, ahem, questionable modifications. If Tesla really makes it mainstream, it is only a matter of time before garish aftermarket additions start to worm their way into the market.
I for one welcome our new pink EV overlords.
