Now You Can Rent A Tesla Model S

MPG Car Rental Testa Model S

Got $100,000 burning a hole in your pocket but not sure the Tesla Model S is the car for you? Now you can rent one first to help you make you make up your mind.  Or perhaps you are an eco-tourist who doesn’t want to contribute to the famous Los Angeles smog while you’re in town.
Either way, MPG Car Rental Group. located in and around LA, now offers the Tesla Model S for rent at $375 per day. The company says customers are encouraged to give the vehicles a test drive with the group’s MPG test drive program.
Those who have ever wanted to purchase a hybrid or electric vehicle can rent under the group’s special program and spend time in the driver’s seat, giving the chance to see how it handles and see if the vehicle is right for their needs. There’s a lot more leeway than a guided Tesla test drive, really letting you see what the Model S can do. MPG didn’t specify whether this was a 60 kWh or 85 kWh Model S, though for most people the 5.4 second 0 to 60 MPH time of the base version is plenty fast enough.
MPG also has BMW i3′s available for rent, but next to the Model S, that just feels kinda…weak, you know?
