Hoverbike Priced At $85,000 Coming In 2017

hoverbike-1

Ever since watching the famous Endor speeder bike chases scene from Return of the Jedi, I’ve wanted a hover bike of my own. In 2017, my dreams come true. Aerofex will launched the Aero-X hoverbike in 2017, at a cost of $85,000. Hell. Yes.
Sure, it may cost as much as a 85 kWh Tesla Model S, but the cool factor is greater than even the hottest electric car on the market right now. With room for two, a mechanical stability system responds to the rider’s natural body movements, leaning and banking as necessary. Though the top speed is just 45 MPH, and it flies at a height of just 12 feet, the Aero-X hoverbike has enough height and speed to impress just about anyone. No word on range, but it doesn’t require a pilot’s license to fly, which is nice.
Aerofex is already taking deposits of $5,000 for the first wave of hoverbikes…and with it set to debut the same year as the Tesla Model E, I’m frankly torn.
Which expensive futuristic vehicle do I want to drive?
