Furtive eGT EV reaches 149 mph in Germany

That sounds fun.

Exagon Motors' Furtive eGT battery-electric sports car, which was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in 2010, hit speeds of 149 miles per hour at Nürburgring's North Loop (Nordschleife), courtesy of racecar driver Sabine Schmitz, according to Green Car Congress.

The car, which is powered by two electric motors made by Siemens and batteries by Saft, puts out about 400 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque. Each of the Furtive's electric motors weigh just 115 pounds. The Furtive eGT will go into production next year and will have a single-charge range of between 178 and 224 miles, depending on who's doing the measuring. There is also a range-extending option.

In August, Schmitz referred to the Furtive as "just brilliant" after testing the car, adding that it's like "floating on a cloud." With a 0-to-60 mph time of 3.5 seconds, we agree that sounds most heavenly.
