2011 Chevrolet Volt
Advertisers ran during Super Bowl XLV, 19 of those from automakers (30%). Of those, 3 (4.8% of total) featured vehicles with alternative powertrains: one for the Hyundai Sonata Hybrid; one for BMW advanced diesel; and one for the Chevy Volt extended range electric vehicle.
Five commercials featured compact cars: three for the Chevrolet Cruze, and two for the Hyundai Elantra.
Chevrolet ran the most from any automaker, with 6: 3 for the Cruze, 1 for the Camaro, 1 for the Volt, and 1 for the Silverado. The count for other OE brands was:
- Audi: 1
- BMW: 2
- Chrysler: 1
- Hyundai: 3
- Kia: 1
- MINI: 1
- Mercedes-Benz: 1
- Suzuki: 1
- Volkswagen: 2
