Tesla Motors To Take Roadster On A Road Show

Tesla is utilizing a rolling road show to market their Roadster. They are also trying to prove that this car obviates "range anxiety" and will hopefully allay potential customer's fear of running out of "fuel". Their destination is the North American Auto Show in Detroit scheduled for early January 2010.

From Tesla Motors:

On December 17th, a group of 16 Tesla employees will begin a 2,700+ mile road trip in a Tesla Roadster Sport.

We’re driving Roadster #750 from Los Angeles to Detroit for this year’s North American International Auto Show to prove that the Roadster is tough, durable and range anxiety is for the weak.

Our electric sports car goes from 0 to 60 in 3.7 seconds and can travel 244 miles on a single charge. The Roadster is ready to take on any and all weather conditions – it looks just as good with mud on the tires as it does on the showroom floor.

Skeptical? We’re coming to your
hometown to prove it.
