Ford Escapes Converted to EV's by REV For City of Inglewood, CA

Its going to be good to be an employee of the city of Inglewood, California. A company named REV will be converting Ford Escape hybrid SUV's into highway capable battery electric vehicles. The converted Ford Escape will then be known as the REV 300 ACX.

REV is a Vancouver, Canada company that converts Ford fleet vehicles into highway capable battery-electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles. The type of company we need more of.

The Specifics:

  • A 90 kW AC induction traction motor
  • Li-ion phosphate battery packs
  • 90-260 VAC input on the charger, 350-410 VDC output, 6.6 kW at 220 VAC
  • Charge time of 3.5-5 hrs at 240 V
  • eGear drive transmission
  • Top speed of 105 mph (169 km/h)
