Geely is demonstrating a number of its alternative energy vehicle efforts at Auto China 2010, including two versions of an electric vehicle, two versions of plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (parallel and serial configurations), and an intelligent stop-start system.
The EK-1 electric vehicle is equipped with a lead-acid battery, and has a top speed of 80 km/h (50 mph) and a range of 80 km.
The EK-2 EV features a Lithium iron phosphate battery pack and offers a top speed of 150 km/h (93 mph) with a range of 180 km (112 miles). It can recharge 80% of battery capacity in 18 minutes.
The EC7 uses the Geely Serial Plug-in Electric system with a lithium iron phosphate pack and a 1.0L range extender. The vehicle offers 60 km (37 miles) all electric range.
The EC8 is Geely’s parallel configuration plug-in, equipped with a 2.4-liter engine.
