PRESS RELEASE

After 2 years of development, the much awaited AMP all electric All-Wheel Drive SUVs are now a reality for buyers. The first AMP flagship dealership, AMP of Cincinnati, opened in Cincinnati, Ohio May 10th, with a Press Conference and test drives of the All-Wheel drive MLe and the
GCE AMP models.

Cincinnati, OH May 14, 2012
AMP Electric Vehicles (OTCBB and OTCQB: AMPD), the electric motor vehicle manufacturer located in Cincinnati, OH, held a Press Conference dedicating the first flagship AMP dealership, AMP OF CINCINNATI, located in the factory's hometown of Cincinnati.

The president of the new AMP of Cincinnati dealership is Dana Hackney, a multi-line dealer, who also owns both Mercedes-Benz and Jeep dealerships in the Greater Cincinnati and Lexington markets. Present at the dealership dedication event were several hundred, including media journalists and invited guests.

"We are very excited and proud to share this important moment," said Dana Hackney at the dedication event. "To many people, the EVs that are on the market today are small. AMP all-electric SUVs offer a unique full-size EV experience. The wait is over. People wanting a full-size EV can now order an AMP."

Unveiling and Test Drives of All-Wheel Drive AMP MLe
Premiering at the dealership opening event was the AMP MLe, based on the Mercedes ML350, the only production All-Wheel drive electric SUV available today. A second AMP SUV was also on-hand, the production AMP GCE, based on the Jeep Grand Cherokee. Both vehicles can travel up to 125 miles on a single battery charge. Many of the invited press and guests took the opportunity to take both production vehicles out on the road for test drives.

Buyers of the AMP EVs will receive the $7,500 IRS Federal Tax Credit tax credit for plug-in electric drive motor vehicles. Special event pricing and the federal tax credit, will bring ownership of an AMP all-electric SUV to under $50,000. AMP was recently awarded IRS credits for both models.

AMP OF CINCINNATI starting at the Event and forward, began taking reservations for both All-Electric SUVs – buyers put their name on list with a fully-refundable deposit of $5,000 to reserve their place in line to have their AMP all-electric vehicle made – First deliveries will take place before the end of 2012.

"These new AMP SUV EVs offer it all: All-Wheel Drive, safety, in a 100% electric full-size vehicle," said Steve Burns, President & Founder, AMP Electric Vehicles Manufacturing.

"To be the first to offer a full-sized AMP electric SUV is very exciting for city of Cincinnati,"
continued Hackney. "We encourage everyone to come by and drive this amazing vehicle."

It's official: Amp bringing all-electric Jeep Grand Cherokee to Detroit

Surprised at the headline? Neither are we. But still, here's the official word from Amp Electric Vehicles: all-electric conversions of the Jeep Grand Cherokee are coming. Amp will start taking orders for both two-wheel and four-wheel drive versions of the battery-powered Grand Cherokee at the Detroit Auto Show in early January.

The roots for the reason that Amp has decicded to convert the Grand Cherokee go back to the DaimlerChrysler days, when the two big auto companies decided to build SUVs – including the M-Class and the Grand Cherokee – on the same platform. Since Amp has already done the work to convert the ML SUV, it "didn't have to change a bolt" to fit the electric powertrain into the Jeep. The only thing that's different, Amp president Steve Burns told AutoblogGreen, is how the powertrain software communicates with the vehicle. Performance, therefore, is also similar, so expect around 100 miles of range on a full charge of the 37.6-kWh li-ion phosphate battery. Burns said the ML is a little slipperier and better on the highway, while the Grand Cherokee is wider and performs better in the city. For more on the technical details of the ML, read this.

When the Amp Jeep Grand Cherokee comes to market early next year, Burns said, it will compete (in a sense) with the Tesla Model S and Model X. Sure, it's hard to compare a Model S to a Jeep, but when you're the only two companies selling all-electric luxury SUVs, you "compete" with whoever's around. The electric Jeep will also compete with the Model S on price. While Burns won't announce specific numbers just yet (firm pricing information, delivery dates and names of the first dealerships will be coming in January), he did say that the electric Grand Cherokee will compete with the lowest-priced Model S. So, figure a price of under $60,000 before a potential $7,500 federal tax credit. Burns said this should be a good sticker price. "The luxury market has proven to be receptive to the higher prices that EVs command," he said. "Jeep is considered a luxury SUV but not as high as a Mercedes. Now, we've got two different price points [to sell]."

Burns and his team are still proud to be converting vehicles, rather than trying to make something brand new. "As we see some of our peers fall by the way side, which is discouraging, most of them tried to build cars from scratch," he said. With the Jeep, "we were able to get to a quality vehicle and a well-liked vehicle and a top-selling vehicle" and offer an electric version wihtout taking billions in government money. Burns said this is something the team is "really happy about."

If you'd like to get your hands on one of these electrics, pay Amp a visit during the Detroit show by heading downstairs to the ride and drive. If you can't make it to the Motor City, Amp's website will be revamped by the time the show starts and it will take online and telephone orders. In early 2012, at least five cities in the U.S. will have Amp vehicles for sale at already-existing dealerships. For a company that has made a business out of using infrastructure and products that are already out there, this simply makes sense.

New Motor Advisors Receives Product Development Consulting Contract From AMP Electric Vehicles

PRESS RELEASE

New Motor Advisors, LLC, a new Michigan firm engaged in automotive product development consulting (http://newmotoradvisors.com) and AMP Holding Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: AMPD), a company engaged in the emission-free electrification of OEM vehicles, have signed a contract for New Motor Advisors to assist AMP in automotive product development strategy and execution planning.

"New Motor Advisors is pleased to bring our depth of automotive product development experience to AMP," said Dave Stenson, New Motor Advisors Founder and President. "We have over 200-years combined experience in our direct and extended expert network to assist established or start-up companies like AMP."

New Motor Advisors brings knowledge to companies that have a value proposition for the market but have limited experience specific to automotive product development. It is wise for these companies to be linked to the available automotive infrastructure to achieve their vision. This is especially common with electric vehicle programs (Hybrids, Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV), Plug-in Hybrids (PHEV)) and other green technologies. AMP is a company that has recognized early the advantage of combining the entrepreneurial vision with the automotive experience base.

"We are on an aggressive path toward commercialization of our vehicle conversions for several customers through development and integration of our all-electric propulsion system," said Jim Taylor CEO of AMP. "The New Motor Advisors team brings added depth of automotive experience we can leverage at this stage of our development."

Northern Lights Energy signs LOI to purchase 1,000 AMP electric SUV conversions over 5 years

AMP Holding Inc., a company engaged in the emission-free electrification of OEM vehicles, has signed a letter of intent (LOI) with Northern Lights Energy (NLE) to support the introduction of all-electric SUVs into Iceland as part of a national electric vehicle (EV) project. Under terms of the letter of intent, subject to various conditions described below, NLE committed to purchase 1,000 all-electric SUVs from AMP over a five-year period.

NLE is actively promoting means of sustainable transportation and has initiated the Icelandic National EV Project, involving various stakeholders such as municipalities and large companies in a national consortium with the aim to build a nationwide charging infrastructure and end Iceland’s dependence on imported oil through the electrification of transportation. Iceland has no domestically-produced oil, according to the CIA World Factbook.

AMP’s 100% electric vehicle technology makes it an ideal partner to work towards our underlying goal of radically improving the transportation industry in Iceland. The SUV segment now captures approximately 35% of the Icelandic car market, and while most industry players are focused on other market segments, we have high hopes for this segment and in AMP’s market-ready technology

—Gisli Gislason, CEO of NLE

AMP expects to deliver its first Electric SUV to NLE in early 2011. After an initial review, NLE intends to demonstrate the AMP’d SUV to the EV Project Consortium members, followed by public exhibition. It is the intention of NLE to purchase a variety of all-electric SUVs from AMP for utilization within fleet operations as well as for re-sale within the its market region. NLE’s interest and commitment is contingent upon AMP successfully demonstrating and meeting certain conditions pertaining to the production and specifications of its EVs.

AMP is in discussions with several potential OEM partners to supply the underlying SUVs for AMP’s electric conversions. AMP’s intention is now to extend those discussions to the Iceland project.

In February, AMP introduced its first SUV all-electric conversion platform, the GM Chevrolet Equinox. The “AMP’d” Equinox is an up-fitted GM Chevrolet Equinox that will reach a top speed of 90 mph (145 km/h), and will accelerate from zero to 60 miles per hour in approximately eight seconds. With its 37 kWh Li-ion pack, range is 150 miles (241 km). The AMP Equinox features dual Remy motors applied in an AMP-manufactured drivetrain.
