3-Wheel EV Concept — Tulip - VIDEO

A concept electric vehicle called Tulip was recently unveiled by designer Ognyan Bozhilov on Behance and YouTube. I’m not sure what Ognyan needs to actually produce this vehicle, and I typically don’t cover vehicles unless they look like they have a pretty solid path to commercialization, but this one looked too cool to pass up. There are a bunch of images on Behance, and here’s the YouTube video:

At the least, Ognyan has some seriously awesome design and computerized video production skills. But I think he is genuinely intent on bringing this to market, too. He shared these specs today:
Motor: 7kW
Battery Capacity: in the range of 80-100 Ah
Range: ~ 100 km.
Max Speed: 80-90 km/h
That top speed is basically 50-55 mph (for the Americans among us). Not bad. Might be useful to bump it up to 65 to 70 mph, but I don’t think I’d want to take that on the Interstate anyway.
The range translates to 62 miles. Not superb, but in the same ballpark as most electric cars on the market (actually exactly the same as the Mitsubishi i-MiEV, and more than the Renault Twizy), which is enough for something like 95–99% of trips in the US, and surely a higher percentage in European markets.
Here are a few of the pics from the Behance page:
